Last weekend it actually felt like spring around here. Friday it was so beautiful the kids and I headed to a local lake to hike and enjoy a picnic.
Later in the day the local home school group held a poetry reading. Chance memorized and recited three poems. Finn got up in front of the group and recited a poem about a turtle.(I had a video clip to share but the computer has other plans).
On Sunday we headed to Fermilab. They were celebrating their 20th year of their Wonders of Science show. They featured physics and chemistry demonstrations. Have you ever wondered what would happen if you put a light bulb or a CD in a microwave? Well now we know. They both glow!
Here's Chance displaying a t shirt they handed out to all the kids in attendance.

2017 marked eleven years of homeschooling. It's the end of our homeschooling journey. The youngest started college classes this summer and the eldest completed his BS in May.
